Volunteer Workdays
A drop-in volunteer time, held at most once per month, where volunteers may process and learn about collections.
The intention is for LHA to develop a volunteer core. Volunteers are welcome into LHA to open and process collections, work on single-access projects, or build upon the work of larger working groups. Past activities of volunteer workdays have included:
- Newsletter clippings distribution to subject files, biographical files, organizational files, or other collections.
- Spoken Word Collection audio listening, and cataloguing annotations.
- Special Collections processing for smaller collections that can be processed within a single workday, or over the course of several workdays, depending on the volunteer’s availability.
- Other projects as assigned to enhance access and processing of collections.
Volunteer workdays are held a couple of times per month. Inquire with the calendar for upcoming dates.
