Audre Lorde
Curated by Audre Lorde and Morgan Gwenwald

The "Audre Lorde Exhibit" was originally created at Lesbian Herstory Archives to be shown in Boston in the fall of 1990 at the "I Am Your Sister" Conference, honoring Audre Lorde. Exhibit curator Morgan Gwenwald worked with Audre Lorde to select images from the special collection that Audre had donated to the Archives. The current exhibit was remounted for the Memorial tribute held in New York City, January 18, 1993 at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. The exhibit consists of 12 panels of 30" x 40" foam core, six panels of mounted copies of photographs from the life of Audre Lorde and six panels of text selected from her works.
